Our Chapter held it’s first program in conjunction with the RIT FM Online Master Graduate Program that integrated working facility managers with RIT 3rd and 4th year engineering students to introduce them to the facilities profession, the Online FM Graduate Program and the benefits of WNY Chapter Membership.
Reviewing the 2 hour program with Jeff Rogers, Associate Professor, FM Online Program, we agreed that we were happy with the number of facility management exhibitors and facility services Associates supporting our Chapter effort. Pizza for students was available and box lunches for the facility managers and other faculty members. Approximately 35 students attended and found themselves intrigued with technology presented by many of the exihibitors. We will refine and expand next year. Maybe minds were swayed to become facility managers as their futures unfold.
